A few months ago I woke up to the idea that many of us ‘live’ on social media now. My beautiful website is crucial to do business, give context to my practice and show my ‘wares’. But if we want to communicate on a more informal and regular basis, it is social media where that will happen.
So…..I started communicating more!
For the last few months I have been showing new work, old work, work in progress and regular #viewfromthestudio snaps! And new people have been showing up to enjoy it, join in and play along. I fretted, like many others about the ‘frivolity’ of posting joy and solace when the world is on fire in so many places and in so many ways. I have concluded that no battle can be won if it rages every minute of every day. Even fire will run out of fuel.
I ‘sell’ nothing on the page. It is all images and stories and music and if my posts can give a glimpse of peace, it is so worth it.
